Martha Hart

is a freelance dance artist, choreographer and educator based in Toronto. She graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School, as well as training at the Palucca Schule Dresden, L’Ecole Superieure du Ballet de Quebec, and Arts Umbrella Dance in Vancouver. After an engagement with the Dresden Semperoper Ballet in Germany, she returned to Canada and has since worked as a freelance artist with Human Body Expression (Hanna Kiel), TranscenDance Project (Julia Cratchley), AnyMotion Productions (Guillaume Cote), Mascall Dance, Project20 (Donald Sales), The Garage, Hit & Run Dance Productions and Ace Dance Theatre in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. From 2015-2016 she toured Mexico, Spain and Italy as a member of the Metamorphosis Dance Collective directed by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich. She has also produced three Metamorphosis Method workshops in Toronto as a way to bridge Canadian dancers to the international scene. Martha has an ongoing short film collaboration with filmmaker David Phu called Panic Attack. Instalments of this project have been selected and screened at film festivals across Canada and the United States. She continues to teach across the GTA and is passionate about sharing dance with a wide variety of audiences.
